Trips and Visits
Trips and visits are an important part of pupils’ wider experience at Benton Park School. They bring learning to life, broaden horizons and give pupils opportunities to develop confidence, independence and resilience beyond the classroom.
Our programme ranges from local day visits linked to subjects and enrichment through to residential and international experiences. This includes the Year 7 visit to Nell Bank, the Year 8 residential, skiing trips and language immersion visits. Across the curriculum, further opportunities allow pupils to experience new places, cultures and environments.
Trips and visits enable pupils to:
- apply their learning in real-world contexts;
- experience different cultures, communities and environments;
- develop independence, responsibility and problem-solving skills;
- strengthen friendships and build positive relationships;
- work effectively as part of a team;
- grow in confidence and resilience;
- discover new interests and possibilities; and
- create lasting memories with their peers.
Whether pupils are spending a day away from school or travelling further afield, each experience is designed to support their personal development and deepen their understanding of the wider world.
We are committed to providing a broad and varied programme that makes learning memorable, encourages pupils to try something new and helps them develop the character and confidence needed for life beyond school.
