School Production

Each year, our school production brings pupils together to create an ambitious live performance for the whole school community. Recent productions have included Matilda Jr., School of Rock, We Will Rock You and High School Musical. This year, pupils will take on The Addams Family.

Pupils are involved in every aspect of the production. Alongside acting, singing and dancing, they take responsibility for sound, lighting, stage management, technical control, scenery, props and backstage organisation. This gives pupils with different interests and talents the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution, whether performing on stage or helping to make the production happen behind the scenes.

Being part of a school production develops confidence, creativity, communication and teamwork. Pupils learn to rehearse with discipline, respond to feedback, solve problems and support one another while working towards a shared goal. It also creates friendships across year groups and gives pupils a strong sense of belonging and achievement.

The final performances are the culmination of months of commitment and collaboration. They give pupils the opportunity to showcase their talents, take pride in their work and create a memorable experience for audiences, families and everyone involved.
