At Benton Park School, pupils are encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities that enrich their experiences, develop their character and help them discover new interests and talents.

Our programme includes competitive sport, music, performing arts, science and a range of clubs and activities. Pupils can represent the school in their chosen sports, join one of our music groups, attend Science Club or take part in productions and performances in our Drama Studio.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is an important part of our wider offer. It gives pupils opportunities to develop independence, resilience, teamwork and leadership as they work towards different levels of the award.

Educational visits in the UK and overseas extend learning beyond the classroom, broaden pupils’ horizons and provide memorable experiences.

Pupil leadership also gives pupils a meaningful voice in school life. Representatives linked to each form group contribute ideas, share the views of their peers and take an active part in school decision-making.
