Benton Park students step up to the Technology Challenge

Students from Benton Park will take part in the Premier Farnell Technology Challenge, a Yorkshire-wide initiative that aims to encourage future graduates to pursue career opportunities in the digital and tech markets.

Organised by Leeds-based electronics company Farnell element14 and Leeds Beckett University, in association with Ahead Partnership and the FutureJobs Program, the Technology Challenge tasks students with coming up with a device that could help somebody with a specific physical or sensory impairment.

Working in teams of five, students will attend a range of workshops before presenting their designs to a panel of judges. The best designs will then progress to a regional final to be held in early December, where our students will compete with teams from 15 other schools in the area.
