Entry into the Sixth Form
Access to the Sixth Form is based on prior academic achievement, behaviour and attendance records. Students must attain at least 5 good GCSE passes; English and maths should be a grade 5 or above and the remaining passes should be at least a C grade, or a 5 where the subject is numerically graded. Some subjects may have specific criteria which will be highlighted on their documentation.
All prospective students are invited to take part in our guidance process, where you will meet with a member of Benton Park staff. This meeting helps you to understand what is involved in each of your potential course options and helps you to ensure that that your course choices will support you in your future career and higher education ambitions.
The application process to study at Benton Park Sixth Form is as follows:
- Applications are available both on the schools website and through school itself. These should be fully completed and passed back to the school.
- A guidance meeting will be arranged for all students that apply to talk through their application and subject choices.
- A provisional offer will be made based on predicted grades and a reference for external students.
- Upon receiving their results students should enrol by contacting the Sixth Form team either on or just after GCSE Results Day.
