Admissions for Years 8-13
If your child is a student in another Leeds School there is a need to complete an In Year Common Preference Form (ICPF).
We strongly recommend that parents visit the school and go on a tour of the site. It is important that you and your child are happy with our school. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the school.
If we are able to offer your child a place we will ensure that they are supported and settle in quickly. We will need to establish what work has been achieved in your child's previous school and the progress made to allow us to assist the transition process. Your child's Form Tutor and Key Stage Leader will meet with them regularly in the first few weeks to ensure any issues or concerns are quickly overcome.
Parents can be assured that everything possible is done to ensure a smooth transfer from Primary to Secondary School. Ms Temple: Key Stage 3 Leader works closely with our Primary Schools to ensure that we fully understand your child's needs before beginning Secondary School. Through regular meetings and discussions with the school, together with our transition events and Parents' Evenings we are fully informed about your child prior to their arrival. We actively encourage parents to talk to us and share any worries or concerns before your child begins, to enable us to ensure the best possible start in Year 7.
