School Uniform

Why have uniform?
• It looks smart when everyone wears it.
• It gives a sense of identity and improves the image of the
school in the local community.
• It gives an easy decision on what to wear each day.
• It prevents an expensive fashion competition.
• It sends the message…I’m at school and I’m ready to work!

Uniform depends on everyone wearing it. One person out of uniform is letting everyone down.

Teachers will challenge you if you are out of uniform. You will be "red marked" for uniform violations. Three in one week will result in a 1 hour detention after school.

White shirt.
School tie. (Knot to top collar button)
School jumper with badge.
Mid grey, charcoal grey or black plain trousers or skirt.
Girls may wear ear studs.
Boys may wear one small ear stud.
Black or dark brown shoes. (Not boots)
If you wear make up it should be delicate and subtle. Bizarre hair styles and unnatural hair colourings are not permitted. Coats should only be worn outside the buildings at break, lunchtime or change of lessons.

You should not be wearing trainers, a cap or face piercings. No black jeans. Trousers should go down to below the ankles. You are required to adhere to the reasonable demands of our dress code. Any problems with uniform must be corrected by the next day.
*A medical note is required for foot injuries requiring alternative footwear.
