Detentions

Detentions are now notificed through the school planner via a Red Sticker with full details of the sanction.

Parents should ensure they check their child's planner regularly to ensure they are aware of any detentions.


Subject Detentions.
These will be set by subject teachers when THREE subject RED MARKS have been given per half term.

These may be for:
• Not having the correct equipment.
• Incomplete or unsatisfactory work including own learning.
• Disruption as outlined on Page 15 of the school planner.



Pastoral Detentions.

These will be set by your Form Tutor/Learning Leader (Head of Year).

These may be for:
• Persistent disruption in a number of lessons.
• Smoking.
• Truancy.
• Fighting.
• Causing playground unrest.
• Vandalism/wilful damage.
• Being late more than six times in a half term.
• Out of class disruption.
Sanctions for proven cases of bullying, racism, theft, sexual harassment, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and possession of an offensive weapon will be determined after a full investigation.
Failure to attend detentions will result in further sanctions with the possibility of isolation.
ALL DETENTIONS WILL BE NOTIFIED THROUGH THE PLANNER VIA A RED STICKER
WITH AT LEAST 24 HOURS NOTICE
