If you are ill or unable to attend school for another reason then a parent or carer should ring school (0113 250 23 30) between 7.30 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. to leave a message for your form tutor.
On your return to school please have the absence slip at the foot of the weekly page of your planner completed and signed. Following this procedure you will avoid having unauthorised absences on your school record.
Please inform your form tutor the day before you have a medical appointment.
Whenever you leave school during school time you must sign out at reception and collect an ‘Authorised Absence Pass’.
If you know you are going to be absent because you are going on holiday then you must collect and complete a holiday form from Reception. Please check you are not on holiday when there are important examinations (see page 10 of the planner).
