The PTA aims to help the school through fund raising activities. We
hope that by providing details of key events for the year 2007/2008
in the Student Planner we can ensure all parents/carers have access
to the information in a more effective way.
The PTA brings together parents, carers, teachers and others who
are interested in supporting the school. Students also frequently
get involved in our activities – modelling at Fashion Shows, serving
refreshments at events or selling tickets. It is an opportunity for us
all to work together to raise funds for those things that the school
budget cannot always provide. In recent years PTA funds have gone
towards the refurbishment and re-stocking of the learning resource
centre, providing additional musical instruments, display boards for
the Art Department and also helped to lease a new school minibus.
If you have any suggestions for fund-raising activities or feel there
is an area of the school we should be supporting please email school
with the details. All parents and carers are also welcome to join the
committee – we meet no more than twice a full term and all help and
ideas would be much appreciated.
