Aerosmith is endorsed by the record company Columbia. And Columbia records is owned by Sony Corp. So in a none musical kinder way, Sony owns Aerosmith.

This happens all the time in Industry. Companies are forever buying and selling each other for their own gain. Aerosmith if they release an album, record it with Columbia records. When recorded Sony can distribute and advertise making more money for Sony as a company. As you know Sony own Playstation, However, i bet you don't know that Sony have suffered serious financial difficulty because of the flop of their Playstation 3. Yes thats right, it cost more money to make than its made when being sold. It cannot compete with the X-Box 360 or the Nintendo Wii. Playstation where supposed to release their Playstation 3 before X-box and Nintendo released their consoles. However due to technical difficulties they failed to do so. Making the other consoles have the advantage of being released earlier. And also Playstation 3 cost more money for not much better quality. Therefore Sony is having serious financial problems at the moment.
