On the evening of Monday 12 th November, four of Benton Parks further maths students joined Miss Taylor at Leeds University to take part in the pilot of the UKMT Senior Maths Team challenge. Tiansheng Xie, Esther Pinn, Jessica Pratt and Emily Darley represented the school to compete against the finest mathematicians in this region. The students worked against the clock tackling tough group questions, a demanding cross number puzzle and finished the evening with the challenging relay round. All four students were a credit to Benton Park and achieved a very respectable 14 th place against some tough opposition.
