Focus on Latin America Conference
Three Yr12 students are to take part in the Focus on Latin America Conference at the University of Leeds on July 14 th where they will take part in workshops on Latin American cinema, the Cuban revolution and Afro-Cuban poetry as well as learn a little Brazilian Portuguese & Mexican Spanish.
Year 12 & 13 Spanish students enjoy an evening at the La Viña restaurant in Leeds
Students not only practiced their speaking skills on the Spanish waiting staff but also sampled a variety of authentic tapas dishes including Chorizo al vino and Calamares. It gave students the opportunity to showcase their capabilities as well as to experience a little of the Spanish culture. A fantastic evening was had by all!
