Recent News and Achievements

The Business Department has been busy explaining to BBC News, The Guardian newspaper and the Financial Notebook among others, how successful their piloting of the Certificate in Financial Studies has been. As featured previously, eight Year 12 students began the certificate (the equivalent of an A level) last year and seven achieved either an A or B grade at the end of the first year. The Department is currently piloting the A2 diploma and there is no doubt that many other schools will follow our lead.

The Certificate and Diploma in Financial Studies students have produced an excellent set of results. Eight of the 12 students attached an A grade.

There was also success for the Young Enterprise students with a 100% pass rate including 3 distinctions and 8 credits.
