UNENDORSED ART & DESIGN
The key stage 4 course for year 10 and 11 follows the AQA specification for Unendorsed Art and Design. This enables students to use a wide variety of media from painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, textiles, print-making and ceramics. The first term covers skills and gives students a chance to try out new ways of creating and thinking. We look at the theme of Tropical world for unit 1 and take the opportunity of visiting the tropical gardens in Leeds . Unit 2 covers the theme of Heads, Faces, Masks and students here visit Yorkshire Sculpture Park . An important aspect of their course is to look at the work of other practitioners and visit galleries and museums.

ENDORSED PHOTOGRAPHY
The endorsed photography course for year 10 and year 11 follows the AQA specification and enables students to engage with both digital and some chemical darkroom practice, photocopy art and video projection. An important aspect of their course is to look at the work of other practitioners and visit galleries and museums.
